Diaphragmatic (Belly) Breathing

Deep breathing using the diaphragm to promote relaxation. Focus on expanding the belly on inhale and contracting on exhale.

Sequence:
inhale, expand belly (4s) exhale, contract belly (4s)

4-7-8 Breathing (Relaxing Breath)

Inhale for 4 sec, hold for 7 sec, exhale for 8 sec.

Sequence:
inhale (4s) hold (7s) exhale (8s)

Box Breathing (Square Breathing)

Inhale (4 sec), hold (4 sec), exhale (4 sec), hold (4 sec).

Sequence:
inhale (4s) hold (4s) exhale (4s) hold (4s)
